Swimming Pool Mania

Here are the cutest pics of our time in the hotel pool while our family was here. It was so miserably hot that you had to be inside or wet to just survive. It was ben's first time in a swimming pool and he of course had a ball. He had absolutely no fear including splashing water in his own face, being held high above his daddy's head, being thrown back and forth, and even walking off the edge into his daddy's arms. Such a boy!

We didn't catch it on film, but he would hold his hands up and wave (like lane frost if you've seen 8 seconds), clap and cheer for himself. He also liked to look down and see just how high he was. Brad could hold him here for such a long time!

The Schatzel Men...

Family Comes to Visit!

Last week our Schatzel family came to visit us all the way from Longview, Washington! We got to keep them for a whole week and had so much fun with them. It was such a laid back week with lots of time for hanging out...here's some of the stuff we did:

Grandpa, Grandma and Brian spent LOTS of time reading to Ben. Well, not actually reading so much as letting him point to every picture in the book...Ben was in heaven.

Grandma Shebobby spoiled Ben rotten. She also treated him to lots and lots of Peppermint Patties...a new tradition!?!

We stayed active...Lots of wrestling and breakdancing (to MJ's Greatest Hits...in memoriam.)

There was of course lots of cuddling, and lots of kissing...

Lots of "just hanging out together"...

And some other really great times not captured on film including 3 days at the lake, swimming at the hotel pool, go-cart racing, eating out, mall shopping and anything else we could find to keep us cool...It was over 100 degrees every day they were here! Ugh! We had such a great time and the only thing that kept us from being sad when they left, is that they will be back in August! Hooray!

Poor Ben doesn't understand that, so here he is mourning their leaving...

Hope everyone has a fun, explosive, yet safe 4th of July Week-end! We've got our very own fireman...
We are off to the lake with Ash, Zach and baby Grady!!! Can't wait!

Yard Dawgz! Woof! Woof!

Last week-end we went to watch the OKC Yard Dawgz Arena Football team. No, that is not misspelled...they are the Dawgz. :) We were wanting something fun to do, still have 2 months left before real football starts, and it's too darn hot to be outside. It was actually really fun! Ben had a BLAST. He watched the whole game, loved watching who was throwing the ball, and was enraptured by the many dog mascots running around.

Tickets were cheap and even though it is alot different than football, in some ways it is more exciting because of the fast pace and high scores. OKC won by like 50 points! I highly recommend this fun outing to anyone... esp. those with little boys who have a love affair with balls.
