9 month fashion show

I am behind. I took these pics almost two weeks ago. Sure she is 10 months old and all of these outfits still fit her, but I thought since they were all for the summer season, we would go ahead and model them so they could be returned or put away. :(

It's crazy to me to have a baby that actually fits in the size that the label says. My boys always needed bigger sizes than their age. Here G. is modeling her 9 month clothes and most of them are still too big. It makes sense though because at her 9 month well baby visit she was only 10th percentile weight (17 pounds) and 10th percentile height. Her head is apparently huge at 90th percentile! I never thought it was big, but maybe that's why this hat is a bit snug...

Her room has horrible lighting and I am a horrible photographer so bear with me. I just can't pack these outfits away without snapping a few pics! I love this little cherry blossom onesie we had on borrow from Liv. G paired it with a bow from Alice and her mama's handmedown red shoes...

How painful is this face? Honestly she wasn't really into the fashion show at first. I was surprised because she usually LOVES smiling for the camera. I think the constant wardrobe changes were getting her down...

But then the sparkle shoes came out and...

After a few though she was back into her groove of smiling and posing. She would even turn around and then smile over her shoulder at me. It was adorable. Here she is showing off a cute outfit Grandma Mary brought her this summer and some pink chucks that I bought her at a consignment sale after I found out I was having a GIRL!

This next little jumper is one of my very favorite outfits ever. She practically lived in it ALL summer long. (usually sans shoes and hair bow!) I think it was a handmedown from Alice if I'm remembering correctly...

At this point she was getting a little squirmy! :) This is a homemade original from cousin Liz for her daughter Hazel. G got it after Hazel got to big for it. It is so cute! G added her pink chucks and a fun little orange hairclip as a brooch for a pop of color. :)

And after squirmy came fussy. I still had a floor full of outfits, so I was scrambling. This is one of my very favorites. It was a borrow from Liv and G only wore it a couple of times...church and woody guthrie festival are what I remember. I love it so...

The sweet homemade looking embroidery melts me...

But then, G was done. And I mean really done. Nothing her brothers or I did could soothe her or make her crack a smile. This was the last one I got before I just caved in and pulled out my boob.

So, my sweet little tiny girl. You sure do have style, beauty, AND a powerful personality!!!

8 month photo shoot gone awry...

I have several dresses made by my great-grandmother that I've been meaning to get pics of Genevieve wearing for...oh, I don't know, 8 months?! A few days ago I decided to "just do it" before she got to big for them!

Well, it went just terribly. It was hot and too sunny. The boys were being ornery and G. was in a mood. She started crying as soon as I set her down and didn't stop until I through my hands up in forfeit and tried not to cry.

So even though we only got one outfit in...and even though they weren't quite what I was envisioning, is it bad that I still think she looks cute even in such utter misery?

Genevieve's 6 Month Fashion Show - Part 2

These were taken around June 15th...just a few days before we moved out. The house was in a complete disarray with boxes half-packed and everything pulled out of closets. But oh man, was she into it. She started smiling as soon as I pulled the camera out! She was hamming it up! (It's almost as if she has heard she is pretty or somethin'!)

That didn't keep me from capturing G. in a few of her 6 month outfits. She had turned 6 months old, and though she was still fitting in them, I was excited about moving her up to the next size. :)

So here are just a few more of the outfits that I don't think we have pictures of her in:

*A sweet ruffled dress on loan from Liv.

*One of my very favorites. A sweet hippie hand-me-down from Courtney.

*Oh my. Those cheeks. A very cute "cowgirl" onesie sent our way from Camp Cayuga friend Trish. We paired it with a funky pair of pants I bought at a consignment sale while I was pregnant.

*Seriously? An orange knit headband from Katie, an american apparell "Gg" shirt from Lala, and orange yoga pants that Camp Cayuga friend Leslie sent me for DES! Too much.

*My little china doll. A gingham on loan from cousin Hazel.

And then I tried to show off this adorable wrap around sweater and she lost it. All the fashionista left her and she wanted NO MORE.

I can't believe she already shows off for the camera!

G's Fashion Show - size 6m - Take One

*a sweet Ralph Lauren hand-me-down from Alice accessorized with shoes and matching bow from California Cori! xoxo

*A Liv hand-me-down with lace headband and awesome boots from Natalie!

*an aunt pam original that was mine when I was wee...omg.

*another auntie pammy...I don't think I've ever seen a pic of me wearing this but it's one of my faves! And those toes! geesh.

*a sweet dress on loan from Liv.

*She must love this sweet one from cousin Hazel!

*But not this one as much...also from Hazel. How cool is it that she has a girl cousin to trade clothes with?

*This is an outfit that Aunt Lala got BEN! I love it so much. "Stop Chopping Down My Trees" onesie with some cute brown shorts and brown CHUCKS! Adorable!

*There are many more to come, but after this cute one from Liv, G. was ready for a nap! Too much fashion!

g's fashion show - size 0-3 months!

It's already time for another fashion show! G. turned three months old yesterday so it is technically time to move into the next clothing size. She actually started growing out of several of her 0-3 month clothes just after she turned two months old. It's not that she is chubby, she just seems to be too long, esp. in the legs. We took several of these a couple of weeks ago, and then have taken more as she approaches the 3 month mark. I really try to only do outfits that I know haven't made their way onto here yet, but if you recognize any, oh well. It was tearing me apart to put away this size. So many cute outfits. Some even cuter than last time around...

*knit flower headband from kk, a shirt that was mine, ben/des jeans, and some homemade shoes from the yoga studio owner.

*knit flower headband from kk, shirt & pants I picked out at a consignment sale, booties knit for me by my great-grandmother nedda.

*outfit from friend g-vaz and same nedda-knit booties.

*oh my gosh i love this pic. knit flower headband from kk, ben's "organic baby" onesie, and babylegs from cousin liz.

*ruffled button up from ash, ruffled overalls from aunt janet, and knit booties from kk.

*so cute.

*she looks chubby here! sweet dress and bloomers from that same consignment sale and those same nedda-knit booties.

*they are just the sweetest things ever.

*ruffled button up from ash, khakis from old navy and some precious birdy shoes from trish.

*aren't they cute? (I'll get a better pic next time...she still has room in these!)

*ruffled top from consignment sale, old navy khakis and some cute hand-made shoes borrowed from kk.

*knit flower headband from kk, polka-dot onesie from courtney, old navy khakis, and pink uggs from gaga. knock-offs, I assure you.

***I still have a couple more outfits that I need to upload, so you'll see those soon. I can't believe she is growing so fast. She still feels so tiny in my arms!!!
