January 2015 - Gallagher w/Papa

January in Oklahoma means really cold, really short days. We typically hunker down and don't get out much in the evenings...except for those glorious evenings spent in Gallagher Iba Arena! The drive is long but as soon as you are inside, it's all worth it! It's bright, loud, and ORANGE.
Like last year, we did all sorts of combos with our 4 amazing seats. The boys took Papa to see the Pokes beat Kansas, me to see several games with GG at home, and sometimes I get to take the boys and Papa! These pics are from Bedlam...we were killing them at half-time, hence the smiles but they came back. Ben cried, Papa tried to teach the hard lesson of being a Cowboy and Des and I laughed it off. It's always fun, just more so if you win. :)

He reallllllllly watches the games. He can remember plays for years after, tell me the stats of each player after the game and analyzes the game the whole drive home. It's all so fascinating to me because as soon as the games are over, I can't remember a thing about them. It's fun to watch him doing something he is so passionate about it, but it does get too intense sometimes. When we lose a close game, or a game he thinks we should have won, it physically pains him. He cries, yells, tells me he can't handle it. He is so much like me, though I have never felt this way about sports, I certainly have those same intense feelings about so much in life. He is so smart, so passionate, so competitive. Maybe he will be a coach someday? No matter what he does, he will be great.

GIA 2013-2014

Now that it's over...

It has been one of the most frustrating, up and down seasons of OSU basketball that I can ever remember. We still found ourselves cheering wildly and clapping loudly for our beloved pokes twice a week for the long cold winter.

There is something so wonderful about coming in from the cold to my warm, orange, happy place.

We used a variety of combos but I don't think Genevieve or Gaga ever made the trip. We even made the trip with friends on two occasions with an included stop on the strip of course!
